Admissions Assessment

Once you have applied, by submitting an application and supporting documents, applicants will be scheduled for a Principal Interview.

Applicants to St. Lawrence School must also complete a school-based learning assessment to gauge their listening, reading comprehension, and writing skills. Through it’s partnership with the  iTEP organization, the SLATE  (Secondary Level Assessment Test of English) assessment is used to  evaluate the English proficiency level of our candidate students.

The full assessment, including the Principal interview and testing, takes approximately two hours and provides the foundation for the student’s educational profile. The outcome of this assessment helps the school determine the appropriate program placement and helps gauge if extra support classes are necessary.
