Medical Insurance

Students are advised that medical insurance coverage is mandatory at all times during their studies at St. Lawrence School. Canadian citizens and landed immigrants who have arrived in BC for more than three months are eligible for coverage through the Medical Services Plan of BC (MSP). International students and landed immigrants who have just arrived in Canada for less than three months are not eligible for coverage through the MSP. They are strongly advised required to have medical insurance covered by a private insurance company during the first three months before becoming eligible for the MSP.

It is the responsibility of the student to provide proof of adequate medical coverage. The parent/guardian or student (if over the age of 19) agrees to assume responsibility for any injury resulting from participation in school activities. All school activities are sufficiently supervised to ensure the safety of all participants. The school is not responsible for any loss or injury by the student during travel to and from St. Lawrence School.
