Grade 11 and 12

A student must take core courses in the following:

  • English (Literary Studies 11 English First Peoples 12, Creative writing 12, etc.)
  • Pre-Calculus 11, Calculus 12, etc.
  • Science (Biology 11, Chemistry 11, Physics 11, etc.)
  • Social Studies (Law Studies 12, Contemporary Indigenous Studies 12; Social Justice, World History 12, etc.)
  • Physical Education (Acitve Living 11/12, Fitness and Conditioning 11/12, etc.)
  • Arts Education 11 or 12 (Art 11/12, Digital Art 11/12, Band 11/12.
  • An option in Engineering, Technology and Design (Comp. Science 11/12, Robotics 11, etc.)
  • Career Life Connections 11/12

Important Notice:

  • A Grade 11 student is limited to a maximum of eight courses in the regular timetable.
  • In Grade 12, the one required course is English and the suggestion would be to offer English First Peoples 12, which would meet the provincial requirement for both English and the Indigenous-Focused Graduation Credit.
  • A Grade 12 student should also select at least five additional courses in areas of interest and that are in support of post-secondary goals.
  • A student may also take Grade 11 courses to fulfill BC graduation requirements, if joining the school in the later grades.
