📚 Students Visit Public Library for English First Peoples Reading Project

Our students recently visited the local Public Library to borrow books written by First Nations authors. These books will be used in their English First Peoples course, which focuses on developing English language skills through the study of Indigenous literature, perspectives, and voices.

English First Peoples is recognized as an academic English course in British Columbia. It provides students with valuable opportunities to explore Canada’s diverse cultural heritage and deepen their understanding of Indigenous experiences through reading, discussion, and critical thinking.

This library visit marked the beginning of a meaningful learning journey, as students carefully selected books that reflect the stories and knowledge of Indigenous communities. We look forward to seeing their reflections and insights as they continue their studies. 🇨🇦🌿
